Catch-a-Chicken
Do you have what it takes to catch a chicken? This exciting and fast-paced event is open to kids ages 4 to 8—whether you're enrolled in 4-H/FFA or not! Participants will have the chance to chase and catch a lively chicken in the arena, creating memories to last a lifetime.
The winner will have the opportunity to either keep the chicken they caught or receive a gift certificate to a local hatchery to purchase chicks to raise and show at next years San Miguel Basin Fair.

Jr Livestock Sale BBQ Lunch
Kick off the excitement of the Junior Livestock Sale with a delicious BBQ lunch! Held just before the sale on the final day of the fair, this community event is the perfect way to enjoy local BBQ, meet the hardworking exhibitors, and check out the incredible animals that are about to sell.
Whether you're a seasoned buyer or new to the sale, you can also sign up for a buyer’s number while you’re there. Everyone is welcome—don’t miss this fun and flavorful way to support local youth and agriculture!

Family Dance
Wrap up another incredible San Miguel Basin Fair with the always lively Family Dance! Held after the Junior Livestock Sale, this fun-filled evening is the perfect way to celebrate a successful week. Bring your family and friends, kick up your boots, and enjoy live music from an amazing band that will keep you dancing all night long.
